Glowing skin and good skincare are always in vogue, and yet it is ever more a significant part of the modern beauty regime, maybe even more so than makeup. For the big day, we want our skin to look and feel it’s absolute best – healthy, smooth and glowing. Healthy, radiant skin isn’t going to happen overnight, so the more time you have to prepare, the better.
Booking a consultation with your beauty therapist / appearance medicine specialist to create a personalised treatment and skincare plan for the lead up to your wedding is a great way to prepare for the best wedding skin possible. A wedding beauty regime is also a lovely way to practice some self-care and take some time to relax in amongst the wedding planning!
Anna, one of our lovely registered nurses at Transform Clinic was married at the end of last year and her photos speak for themselves – her skin was flawless! We put our heads together to create the ideal schedule covering a variety of treatments. Your wedding beauty regime should always be personalised to your skin, your goals and your budget.
Whether you are a bride-to-be, a mother of the bride, or just have a special occasion you'd like to prepare for - here's our treatment guide for radiant, smooth skin!
Laser Hair Removal
For laser hair removal of any area, you may need 4+ treatments, so the sooner you start the better! Many brides-to-be may wish for areas such as their upper lip or underarms.
ELOS™ Fotofacial
In the year leading up to your wedding, we would recommend at least 2 ELOS Fotofacials to even out the skin tone and any pigmentation. ELOS™ Fotofacials (and any IPL or Laser rejuvenation) is recommended to have during wintertime.
Anti-Wrinkle treatments (Botulinum Toxin A)
Ideally you would start with regular anti-wrinkle treatments every 4 months, and with your last treatment 1 month before the wedding with a 2-week follow-up to allow for any tweaks.

Regular Facial Treatments
Regular facials for skin health and quality – we would recommend monthly if you can but whatever works for you! Many people often may not know what facial is going to work well for their skin and this comes down to advice of the experts as well as trialling out different facials. We wouldn’t recommend trying something completely new a week before your wedding even if we love and believe in the results as everyone’s skin is different – nobody wants a breakout before the wedding! Just as you would have makeup and hair trials, testing facials is also important to ensure you know what works best for your skin.
An example of a wedding facial regime is alternating Dermaplaning and Microneedling:
8-weekly dermaplaning having 4-6 treatments total.
8-weekly microneedling (also known as collagen induction therapy) 3 or 4 treatments in total
Other facials include – Microdermabrasion, Glycolic Peels, HydraFacial, LED lights, Vitamin C Infusions.
Profhilo®
Two treatments one month apart. Ideally completed 3-4 months before the wedding for optimum results.
Dermal Filler
Dermal Filler for any facial areas (excluding lips) i.e., cheeks, jawline, chin, and other areas. Ideally 6 months before the wedding as the type of dermal filler for these areas last a long time.
Teeth Whitening
On what is to be your happiest day of your life, your smile will be the biggest and brightest! To brighten your smile and address any staining, professional teeth whitening is a good treatment - and for both the bride and groom.
Botulinum for Underarm Sweating
This treatment is one for the whole bridal party!! No sweat patches on your wedding dress, bridesmaid dresses or suit – sweat patches are not only uncomfortable but the last thing you want in the photos you will cherish for years to come. One treatment and results last up to year!
Lip Augmentation
Lip enhancement is an often-misunderstood treatment – the first common misconception being that it is all about volume, and the second that it never looks natural. Lip enhancement can and should be natural looking and is a wonderful treatment to improve hydration, definition, symmetry and proportions, shape, lipstick bleed lines, and to enhance volume. If you would like to enhance your lips, ideally this would be 6-8 weeks before you wedding allowing enough time for any potential downtime and any top-ups.
Last Botulinum/Anti-wrinkle treatment
Time your last botulinum treatment 1 month before the wedding with a 2-week follow-up to allow for any tweaks.

It's time for all the finishing touches! Getting ready for the big day is the fun part - it's time to pamper yourself! Have a final facial for glowing skin, perfect the brows, the lashes and nails!
Dermaplaning + Vitamin C infusion
Dermaplaning leaves your skin brighter, softer, smoother skin allowing makeup to sit more flawlessly on the skin.
Tropical Paradise Pedicure
This is a luxurious pedicure using Pure Fiji that leaves your feet feeling pampered and smooth. This is such a lovely treatment that will have you feeling relaxed and your feet looking beautiful!
Eyebrow tint and shape + Eyelash tint
Even if you don't usually tint your eyebrows, this can really make a difference to your brows so they look fuller and frame your face more effortlessly!
Spray Tan
If you are wanting more of a golden glow, a spray tan is the way to go. Make sure you do a test run with your tan before the wedding to ensure you get the best shade for you.
